Palestinian President Abbas arrives in Turkey

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas has arrived in Turkey for a two-day visit for talks on Middle East peace efforts. The Turkish President's office says Abbas is to meet Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan later on Thursday.
On Friday, he will hold talks with President Abdullah Gul and Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu. Abbas will also attend the opening of a new Palestinian Embassy building in Ankara. (AP)
