Shalit's mother: Gilad's fate not predestined

Published: 07.28.09, 15:12 / Israel News

Aviva Shalit, mother of the kidnapped soldier Gilad Shalit called upon Israeli leaders not to regard her son's fate as "predestinated" and to continue efforts to get him home.

"Up until now the State of Israel has failed in all of its efforts to bring back Gilad, and we say that it is not a predestination, this affair could and should be concluded quickly without hesitation. Gilad needs to be brought back home before it is too late," Shalit said at the opening of an exhibition being held at the Knesset dedicated to Gilad Shalit's book "When the Fish and the Shark First Met."
