A 38-year-old woman, who is 30 weeks pregnant, was diagnosed with swine flu Tuesday. She was hospitalized at the Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital in Jerusalem and is said to be in serious condition.
She gave birth to her baby on Thursday by caesarean section.
This is the second case of the H1N1 virus diagnosed in a pregnant woman in Israel. Pregnant women suffering form Swine flu have a higher mortality rate than others.

The first pregnant woman to be diagnosed with the H1N1 virus is still hospitalized at the Assaf Harofeh Medical Center in Zerifin. She too is in serious condition.
Doctors at Assaf Harofeh chose to perform a cesarean section on the woman. Her baby is said to be doing well.
