Victoria's Secret products to be sold on El Al planes

Israeli airline to offer American retailer's beauty products on its flights as of September; lingerie to be introduced later on

The El Al airline has signed an agreement with American retailer Victoria Secret and will be selling the company's beauty products on its planes starting September. In the first stage, the company will offer cosmetics and perfumes.

David Maimon, El Al's VP Service, said this week that the airline was pleased with the opportunity to diversify the duty free products on its planes, and that El Al was the first airline in the world with the rights to sell Victoria's Secret products during its flights.

According to Maimon, the products sold on the planes will be offered for the same prices or for prices close to those they are sold for in the United States.

For example, a set of Body Spray (250 ml) will be sold for $18 per pair – the same price it is sold for abroad. A set of two moisturizer cases will be sold for $18 or $9 a piece. In the US this set is sold for $8 a piece when buying three cases. Very Sexy Perfume will be sold for the attractive price of $49 for a 75 ml bottle.

According to Maimon, the products will be offered for sale on all El Al flights, with the goal of expanding the company's products and introducing lingerie as well.
