This Festival is highly recommended. For three days from Wednesday August 26, 2009 until the termination of Shabbat, participants will be able to enjoy performances by highly acclaimed singers, plus attend workshops and lectures by experts in the field of Jewish music.
Major performers to participate will be Chazan Helfgot and Chazan Glick. They will be supported by a 60-voice choir from Netanya, Kfar Saba and Modiin, together with the Raanana Symphonette conducted by Yankele Rotner.
In the United States the Jewish Music Festival is celebrating its 24th year. The mission of this organization is to present music that celebrates the Jewish experience and explore what it means to be Jewish in a multicultural world.
It is hoped that more Jewish Music Festivals will be conducted here in Israel following this event. For accommodation and tickets, contact Kibbutz Lavi (04) 679 9450 or Kibbutz Renanot (02) 624 8761.
