Soldier who stole credit card from Palestinian gets prison sentence

A Givati Brigade soldier has been sentenced to seven and a half months in prison for stealing a credit card from the home of a Palestinian during Operation Cast Lead in Gaza earlier this year. The soldier was convicted of using the card to withdraw $400.
The Southern Command's military court stated that the incident was serious and required "punishment with an element of deterrence". (Hanan Greenberg)
