Yiftah Mor-Yosef
The Central District Police announced Monday that two suspects were arrested in connection to the slaying of 17-year-old Yiftah Mor-Yosef, who gunned down by mistake during a botched assassination attempt of a Ramla felon, two weeks ago.
The case is still subjected to a partial gag order.
Mor-Yosef had the misfortune of sitting within a 50-yard radius of the hitmen's target – known felon Einav Cohen. He suffered a fatal head injury and died shortly afterwards.

Teenage boy who happened to sit by man targeted by one of city's crime syndicates suffers fatal gunshot wound to the head; 'target' suffered severe chest injuries. 'Boy was at the wrong place at the wrong time,' says Central Police District chief
Cohen sustained a severe chest injury and is still hospitalized at Assaf Harofeh Medical Center in Zerifin.
The sensitive nature of the case prompted Commander Nissim Mor, head of the Central District Police, to assign a special task force to the case headed by Superintendent Micha Levin.
The investigation led to the arrest of two suspects, both residents of Bat Yam and both with a prior criminal record. The suspects will be arraigned at the Ramla Magistrate's Court on Tuesday.
Maor Mor-Yosef, the victim's cousin, told Ynet that the family had not heard of any arrests in the case, "And although it's likely to ease the parents' pain it won't bring Yiftah back.
"The question is why couldn’t the police stop this murder to begin with. They know how to deal with traffic offenders, but seem helpless in the face of serious crime. It just never ends," he said, "The police are not taking organized crime seriously. This tragedy could have been averted if they did."
