Suspect arrested in severed bodies case
Police believe mysterious case of severed body parts found in Ramat Gan, Alexander Stream areas solved; remains identified as two women's, suspect arrested
The Israel Police believe the mysterious case involving numerous severed body parts found in the Ramat Gan and Alexander Stream areas, has been solved.
According to a police statement released Thursday, 59-year old Eli Fahima was arrested in connection with the double murder of Beatrice Rodov (61) and her daughter Denise (35).
The motive for the murder appears to be financial. The suspect was found in possession of Beatrice Rodov's car and cell phone.
The suspect is believed to have been romantically involved with the mother, whose severed and torched body was found in a Raman Gat dumpster last week.
A day after the remains were found, a severed leg was discovered in the waters of Alexander Stream, a national park in central Israel. The severed remains of a second body were found some 24 hours later.

A comprehensive gag order was placed on the case, which was turned over to the police Major Crimes Unit – Lahav 443. The police also asked the public to report any suspicious disappearances immediately.
The first breakthrough came on Sunday, as a worried employer reported one of his workers – later identified as Beatrice Rodov – missing.
A subsequent search for her daughter, preformed in order to ascertain the employer's report, found that she too was missing.
Once the remains of the second body were found, the police concluded that the manner in which both bodies were severed indicated that they were probably the victims of the same killer.
Further investigation led the police to Fahima, who was promptly arrested. He denies any involvement in the killings.
The police believe the primary crime scene was Beatrice Rodov's Ramat Gan apartment and are currently searching for additional, missing body parts.
During his Monday arraignment, Fahima claimed he was being framed. Placed under heavy guard, he was prevented from further speaking with the press.
