Petah Tikva schools to go on strike over racism

Representatives of the Parent-Teacher Association in Petah Tikva have announced in a special press conference that they would not open the school year due to inequality in absorbing immigrant children in the city's schools.
The association's message stated that all schools in the city, apart from kindergartens and special education establishments, would be on strike until the city adopts an equal reception of immigrant children in all schools, including private ones. This, following reports on Ethiopian students not being admitted into religious schools in Petah Tikva. (Ynet)
