Report: Israel to freeze settlements in exchange for Iran sanctions

British newspaper the Guardian reported that the US administration is on the brink of a breakthrough in peace talks in the Middle East. According to the report, President Barack Obama managed to convince Israel to promise it will freeze construction in settlements in exchange for the US adopting more stringent policies regarding the Iranian nuclear plan.

 

The US, Britain and France, according to the report, plan to pressure the UN Security Council into expanding sanctions on Iran, including on its gas an petrol industries. (Ynet)
