A 5.9-magnitude earthquake struck eastern India near the mountainous border with Myanmar, the US Geological Survey reported on Thursday.
The quake hit at 2:21 am local time on Friday (19:51 GMT Thursday) about 60 miles from Imphal, Manipur, India, the USGS said. It was 60.6 miles deep. (Reuters)
