Israeli photographer injured in Naalin

Palestinian sources say David Reeb was injured by live fire, IDF says fired only rubber bullets

An Israeli photographer was lightly injured during an anti-fence rally in the West Bank village of Naalin Friday.

The freelance photographer, David Reeb, was injured when IDF and Border Guard forces fired at him and a Palestinian photographer, hitting the former in the knee.

Palestinian sources said the injury was caused by live fire aimed directly at the two as they stood by a group of protestors. Two protestors, one Israeli and one Palestinian, also suffered injuries caused by rubber bullets.

The IDF Spokesperson's Office stated that medical sources present at the protest said the injured parties were hurt only by rubber bullets, and that the circumstances of the case were being investigated.

The statement also said Reeb had taken an active part in the protest and that his injuries were light.

Hundreds of Israelis, Palestinians, and left-wing activists from around the world protested the fence at Naalin Friday.
