Ofra Strauss named 46th most powerful women in the world

Fortune Magazine publishes annual 50 post powerful businesswomen in US, worldwide lists, names Strauss Group chairwoman among latter. Co-president of Oracle Safra Catz ranks 12 on US list

Leading financial magazine Fortune has included Strauss Group Chairwoman Ofra Strauss in its annual international 50 Most Powerful Women in Business list, ranking her 46, Yedioth Ahronoth reported Sunday.

 

Fortune published its two "Most Powerful Women in Business" lists over the weekend: The first list names the 50 most powerful businesswomen in the United States and the second, dubbed the "Global 50," their counterparts around the world.

 

Strauss has been included in the list for the past several years.

 

Topping Fortune's US list for the fourth consecutive year is Indra Nooyi, chairman and CEO of PepsiCo. Irene Rosenfeld, chairman and CEO of Kraft Foods follows in second place, and rounding up to top three is Pat Woertz, chairman, CEO, and president of Archer Daniels Midland.

 

Israeli-born Safra Catz, who is the co-president of Oracle, ranked 12 in the US' list, and topped the wage rankings for 2008 with $42.4 million.
