Palestinians: Abbas won't meet Netanyahu without settlement halt

Palestinian sources stressed the President Mahmoud Abbas would not agree to a three-way summit with US President Obama and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu unless Israel declares, publicly, officially and unequivocally, that is will halt construction in settlements.

A source stressed that, "As far as we are concerned, terms such as 'natural growth', 'expansion' or 'freeze' are all one term, and they are just another side of the same coin of settlement expansion. We expect to hear only one thing: A halt of settlements and construction in settlements. (Ali Waked)
