Liebling family immigrates to Land of Israel – part 2

We continue the story of the four Liebling brothers and their parents, who immigrated to Israel from Germany on the eve of World War II – from an elegant and meticulous past to manual work in kibbutzim, Tel Aviv Port

Aryeh and Erwin Liebling were the first members of their family to immigrate to the Land of Israel in 1936. Erwin immigrated as part of the Aliyat Hanoar movement and arrived at Kibbutz Givat Hashlosha, while Aryeh arrived at Kibbutz Ramat Hakovesh, and left to help build the Tel Aviv Port.

Their eldest brother, Gustav, arrived in Israel for a short visit in order to decide whether the entire family could settle in the area.

This time we present a selection of photos, some from the family in Germany and others from the milieu of the two brothers in Israel, before they were joined by the rest of the family.
