The "videotape deal" between Israel and Hamas was completed Sunday afternoon, as female Palestinian prisoner Roda Habib was transferred on a Red Cross vehicle from the Shikma Prison to the Erez crossing, where she crossed into the Gaza Strip.

Habib, 32, the mother of four, had been kept in custody until the completion of legal proceedings after being indicted for attempted murder, possession of a weapon and unauthorized military training. Earlier Sunday, she was transferred from the Sharon Prison to the Shikma Prison.

Habib had not been included in the list of prisoners slated to be released, but after Israel had freed 15-year-old Bara'ah Malki, who was anyway scheduled to be released, Hamas demanded the release of an additional prisoner in exchange for the videotape showing kidnapped soldier Gilad Shalit alive and well.

Ahead of her release, Habib underwent the routine release procedure of security prisoners, which includes identification, a medical examination and a meeting with Red Cross representatives.

Habib was arrested about two years ago after persuading a relative to help her commit a suicide attack. She was arrested together with her relative, Fatema Yunis Azzeq, who was also released as part of the "videotape deal."
