Israeli fashion brand expanding in Germany

Status fashion company announces plans to begin marketing winter 2010 collection in boutiques in Frankfurt, Stuttgart, Dusseldorf, Dresden, and other major German cities; also announces plans to offer special line adapted to European crowd

Israeli fashion brand Status is expanding its grip in Germany. The company, which markets its designs mainly in Berlin, will expand distribution with the start of 2010 to Frankfurt, Stuttgart, Dusseldorf, Dresden, and other major cities throughout the country.

Status has been operating in Germany since 2003, and in the summer of 2009, the company began cooperation with German brand Jet Lag, which mainly caters to male customers.

The company's collection marketed in Germany and in other European countries, is almost completely identical to the collection available in boutiques in Israel, save for a small number of items adjusted to the local crowd, including items made of thicker or warmer materials.

Recently, both companies have decided to create a line targeting the European clientele. Status is currently developing an entire collection to be marketed solely in Europe, and has declared that by next winter, the Status collection to be available in Europe will be completely different from that which is offered in Israel.

The Status-Moda company was founded in 1999, and specializes mainly in tops and dresses for young women. The company started out as an Israeli company producing and marketing wholesale products in the local market.

The company now sells its products in over 400 stores around the world, including in Germany, France, Holland, England, Greece, South Africa and Australia.
