MK Danny Danon attacked the Goldstone report
during a speech in Knesset Wednesday and ripped up a synopsis of it.
"Anti-Semitism has become a swear word… even within this institution MKs went to Durban in order to speak out against Israel," Danon said. "They found a loyal partner by the name of Goldstone."
He added, "What about the Qassams that were the real reason for the operation?
If need be we will return to Gaza in order to prevent them from firing Qassams at innocent civilians. We must say to Goldstone that we do not accept reports like this. This report is twisted. I am honored to rip it up page after page."
He then retrieved the synopsis and tore it, in response to which he was reprimanded by the chairman of the debate, MK Uri Maklev (United Torah Judaism).
Danon replied, "All 600 pages should be thrown into the garbage can of history." A number of Arab MKs present at the debate expressed criticism at the outburst.
