The government on Sunday will debate extending Shin Bet Chief Yuval Diskin's term in office by one year.
The bid's proposal said that "due to the security challenges the State of Israel faces at this time, there are special circumstances which have prompted the prime minister to wish to extend Diskin's five-year term by one year." (Roni Sofer)
