Opposition chairwoman Tzipi Livni said that despite the findings of the Goldstone report, Operation Cast Lead was a necessary move.
Livni stressed that she was generally opposed to the establishment of an internal inquiry committee to probe the findings of the report, but said she would support any government decision made to protect the IDF and its officers. (Attila Somfalvi)
