Foreign Ministry Director-General Yossi Gal and Naor Gilon, deputy head of the Western Europe Department in the Ministry of Foreign, are meeting with officials from the French Foreign Ministry in Paris in order to discuss a number of strategic issues, including Iran's
nuclear aspirations, the IAEA draft agreement with the Islamic Republic, and France's firm stance on the issue.
When they return to Israel, the two diplomats will update Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman on the talks. Chief of Staff Gabi Ashkenazi has also recently met with the French chief of staff and the joint staff commanders of the US military. (Roni Sofer)
