UK's Brown calls for new Afghan anti-fraud body

British Prime Minister Gordon Brown says Afghanistan President Hamid Karzai must take immediate steps to root out government corruption following his re-election.

 

Brown called on Tuesday for Karzai to establish a new anti-corruption commission, and include former political rivals in his new government. The leader's office says Britain would back attempts to arrest former officials involved in fraud. (AP)
