Egypt arrests 17 on terror suspicions

The Egyptian authorities arrested 17 people on Wednesday on charges of possessing explosives and weapons, and for planning attacks, security sources said.

The group, also charged with belonging to a banned Islamist organisation, Jihad,- was arrested in Mansoura, north of the capital Cairo, the sources said. (Reuters)
