The Iranian Foreign Ministry criticized comments made by German Chancellor Angela Merkel in her speech this week before the US Congress. Merkel said that the Iranian nuclear program does not only pose a threat to Israel, but to Germany as well.
A ministry spokesperson claimed that Merkel "is influenced by the Zionist lobby," and said that her statements do not serve the interests of the German people. The spokesperson mentioned that Germany sold Dolphin nuclear submarines to Israel in the past. (Dudi Cohen)
