ICC prosecutor to move fast on Kenya violence case

The International Criminal Court's prosecutor says he wants to move quickly to try the perpetrators of Kenya's 2007 postelection violence to prevent future conflict.
Luis Moreno Ocampo says he plans to present only two to three cases for trial. Moreno Ocampo will in December ask ICC judges to allow him to formally open an investigation into the violence that claimed more than 1,000 lives. He says even though many more people were involved in the violence his role is to try only those who bear the greatest criminal responsibility. (AP)
