UK foreign secretary: Obama critics miss the point

British Foreign Secretary David Miliband says critics of US President Barack Obama are wrong to complain he's been unable to fix the world's woes.

Miliband said Saturday that some expected Obama to revive the global economy and broker Middle East peace single-handedly. In modern politics, he said, "no one country can bring the world to heel,' and added that he remains optimistic about Obama's "defiantly transformational administration." (Reuters)
