Iran still wants nuke talks with world powers

Published: 11.09.09, 11:10 / Israel News

Iran says it still wants talks with world powers over fuel supplies to a Tehran nuclear reactor despite an apparent rejection of a UN plan to curb Iran's enriched uranium stockpile.

State television quoted late Sunday top Iranian nuclear negotiator, Saeed Jalili, as saying Tehran "welcomes" talks with the five permanent UN Security Council members plus Germany. Jalili spoke during a meeting with Russian deputy foreign minister, Sergei Ryabkov. (AP)
