Shalit's mom: Failure to release Gilad — stain on Israeli society
Aviva Shalit, Kidnapped soldier Gilad Shalit's mother, spoke during a ceremony in honor of her son that took place in Netanya Thursday evening, and warned that failure to release her son from captivity will become an irremovable stain in Israeli society.
"The government of Israel failed with its effort to return him home, if in fact there were efforts during certain periods of time. And we say this is not preordained. We can and must end this sad affair quickly, and without hesitation," said Shalit. (Ynet)
