The defense establishment confirmed that five Palestinian officers were arrested Friday morning, but did not reveal any details about the circumstances of their arrest.
Palestinian sources said that five Palestinian officers who are part of the Palestinian General Intelligence Service were arrested near Salfit, in the West Bank. This is the first time in some three years that Israel has arrested officers in the Palestinian Authority. (Hanan Greenberg)
