President Shimon Peres spoke during a ceremony to mark the 36th anniversary of first Israeli Prime Minister David Ben Gurion's death.
The president referred in his speech to recent cases of insubordination in the IDF's Kfir brigade, and said that Ben Gurion "wanted one army, united. An army that is under the authority of the elected government; a bold army with values." (Ilana Curiel )
