British FM tells Minister Shalom he values Israel's efforts to release Shalit

Deputy Prime Minister Silvan Shalom met in London with British Foreign Minister David Miliband and asked for Britain's aid in efforts to release kidnapped soldier Gilad Shalit.
Miliband said he appreciates Israel's desire to do anything to release Shalit. The two also spoke of the stalled Israeli-Palestinian peace process, and Shalom said that the freezing of settlement construction had never been a precondition for negotiations. (Attila Somfalvi)
