Denmark to send UN peacekeepers to Lebanon

Denmark has decided to send 140 troops for the UN peacekeeping mission in Lebanon.
Lawmakers have overwhelmingly approved a request from the United Nations to send logistics staff to the force known as UNIFIL. In a 108-0 vote, with 71 absentees, Denmark's 179-seat Parliament voted Tuesday for the motion. Only a small left-wing group had earlier said it opposed the move. (AP)
