Livni on Gush Katif evacuees: I had no official role on matter
Opposition Chairwoman Tzipi Livni said during the state inquiry into the authorities' treatment of the Gush Katif evacuees that she did not have any formal role in taking care of the evacuees. She mentioned that, despite this, she met with groups of evacuees out of a personal sense of responsibility for them.
Livni said that she does not concur with the claim that the evacuees did not cooperate with the authorities and that it is the State's obligation to take care of them. (Aviad Glickman)
