A magnitude 5.5 earthquake struck Venezuela on Friday, the US Geological Survey reported.
It said the quake, 6.2 miles (9.9 km) below the surface, was centered 32 miles (51.5 km) northwest of Barquisimeto and struck at 3:15 am (0815 GMT). (Reuters)
