Regional council head tears up order to freeze construction

Officers of the Civil Administration have begun to hand out orders to Jewish regional council heads in the West Bank, ordering them to stop issuing construction permits in settlements.
Moshe Rosenbaum, head of the Beit El Regional Council, tore up the order in front of the officers who handed it to him. In another move of protestation, the head of Beit Aryeh Regional Council refused to meet with the officers. (Hanan Greenberg)
