Ashkenazi: There are soldiers who don't know state's heritage
None
IDF Chief of staff Gabi Ashkenazi said at an army conference with school principals, "We witness the problems youths take with them to the army, like alcohol consumption or people who drop out of the education system.
"There are soldiers that do not know the country and its heritage. A third of the soldiers only visited Jerusalem for the first time in the frame of the army. There are soldiers who think that we conquered Masada in six days. There are soldiers from abroad that don't know the language." (Yaheli Moran Zelikovich)
