Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Ehud Barak met at the Knesset to discuss the issue of formulating protocols to ease the lives of West Bank settlers on the backdrop of the temporary building moratorium being imposed.
A senior official present at the meeting denied that Netanyahu summoned Barak for a talk to clarify claims made by settlers that the defense minister is closing political accounts through the freeze. "The two are working hand in hand under the total understanding that the Israeli government's decision must be enforced while taking into consideration the lifestyles of the residents," said the official.
