Russia: Medvedev doesn't rule out 2012 re-election bid

Russian President Dmitry Medvedev said on Thursday that he does not rule out making a bid for re-election in 2012, like Prime Minister Vladimir Putin.

"Prime Minister Putin said he doesn't rule out this possibility and I also say I don't rule it out," Medvedev told a news conference alongside Italian leader Silvio Berlusconi. "But this is only if Mr Medvedev and Mr Putin have a chance." (Reuters)
