Hamas source: Israel's response likely to complicate talks

The German mediator in the Gilad Shalit prisoner swap deal notified Hamas a few days ago that Israel still does not consent to some of the organization's demands being made in exchange for Shalit's release, according to a Hamas source quoted in London-based newspaper al-Quds al-Arabi.
According to him, "This response by Israel is likely to complicate a number of the issues surrounding the negotiations." The report said that Israel is refusing to release a number of terrorists on Hamas' requested list as well as to a few of the special arrangements the organization stipulated as part of the swap deal.
