IDF chief makes 1st official visit to India

Israel Defense Forces Chief of Staff Lieutenant-General Gabi Ashkenazi left Saturday night on a five-day trip to India. This is an Israeli chief of staff's first work visit to the country.
Ashkenazi is expected to meet with his counterpart, General Deepak Kapoor, and hold a series of work meetings with government, security and military officials. He will replaced during his absence by his deputy, Major-General Benny Gantz. (Ynet)
