Jerusalem Mayor Nir Barkat came out against the announcement made by European Union foreign ministers that Jerusalem must be the capital of both a Palestinian state and Israel.
"The history of Berlin, which recently celebrated 20 years since its reunification, teaches us that there is no city that was divided and still managed to function," he said. According to him, the ministers' decision is a real threat to the future of Jerusalem. (Ronen Medzini)
