Iran denies incursion into Iraqi oil area

Iran denied on Friday its soldiers had entered Iraqi territory and occupied a southern oilfield, National Iranian Oil Company said in a statement, the semi-official Mehr news agency reported.

"The company denies Iranian soldiers taking control of any oil well inside Iraqi territory," Mehr quoted the NIOC statement as saying. (Reuters)
