Kadima to cancel faction event over Shalit deal developments

The Kadima party is expected to cancel a faction social event due to take place Monday evening in Jerusalem. Party seniors said the event was scheduled in advance, but will likely be canceled in light of recent developments in the deal to release captive soldier Gilad Shalit.
Kadima senior officials close to Chairwoman Tzipi Livni noted there was no connection between the gathering and reports according to which a group of party members was planning to align itself with the Likud. (Attila Somfalvi)
