Behind the lens of Hannah and Efraim Degani – part 6

This time we present documents and pictures of Jerusalem dating back to 19th century, which were collected by owners of Prisma photography shop in capital

The photos taken by the Degani couples of the Prisma photography shop, which have been presented here over the past few weeks, constitute an artistic and historic collection of the city of Jerusalem.

Apart from his work as a photographer, Efraim Degani collected documents and photos of Jerusalem dating back to the 19th century. The collection is an archive of more than 100 years of photography in Jerusalem's capital. Anyone interested in the city's history will view this collection as a fascinating treasure.
