Israel's population is about 7,509,000 residents as of the end of 2009 according to figures published by the Central Bureau of Statistics.
The figures show that 75.4% of the Israeli population is Jewish, 20.3% is Arab, and 4.3% is defined as "other" – immigrants who are not registered as Jews, non-Arab Christians, and residents without a religious affiliation. In the last year of the decade, the Israeli population grew by 1.8%. (Ynet)
