PM urges HMOs to provide medicine acquisition data

None

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has demanded the HMOs present drug acquisition data for the medicine basket. During a cabinet session in which the NIS 400 million (toughly $104 million) increase in the basket's budget was presented, Netanyahu said, "These are public funds and this could save hundreds of millions of shekels."

The prime minister further noted that "the HMOs have not yet provided the drugs' acquisition data. We must act transparently here." (Roni Sofer)
