Four Yisrael Beiteinu ministers are opposing the aid for residents of Sderot and Gaza vicinity communities following the decision to cutback on tax and property tax benefits for the residents.
Tourism Minister Stas Misezhnikov criticized the decision and claimed that "the NIS 600 million that have been allocated to the region as part of the aid bill I passed in the last Knesset have saved thousands of businesses from shutting down, assisted thousands of families and brought new populations to the region. The cutback sends a problematic message to the residents." (Roni Sofer)
