Obama appoints transgendered woman as top advisor
US President Barack Obama appointed Amanda Simpson – a declared transgendered woman – as a top advisor in the Ministry of Commerce. Simpson published a statement in which she congratulated the Obama administration for opening the doors to members of the Homosexual and Lesbian community. (Yitzhak Benhorin)
