Following MK Shaul Mofaz, another Kadima
official, MK Avi Dichter, is joining those who wish to hold Kadima primaries in 2010. Dichter said on Tuesday, "It is clear to everyone that the primaries will be held in 2010."
Up until now, Mofaz has only demanded
Kadima primary elections be moved up. Now, it seems Dichter, who ran in the previous primary elections in September 2008, is interested in joining the possible race and running for chairperson against Mofaz and current Chairwoman Tzipi Livni.

Tensions in the Kadima faction reached a new level on Monday, after Mofaz continued with his public attack against Livni, and went so far as to say she was endangering the State.
Livni in response accused her No. 2 of "trying to destroy the party".
For the time being, Livni is in no rush to meet Mofaz's demands and hold primary elections, but she did say in closed talks that she is not opposed to holding a debate on the date of elections.
On Monday, Kadima MKs convened in Jerusalem, in an attempt to calm the storm. The event was attended by 23 MKs, with MK Otniel Schneller, whose name was mentioned as a possible "deserter"
to Likud, was among those absent.
MKs Israel Hasson, Tzachi Hangebi, and Jacob Edery also failed to show up to the event. Mofaz, however, was there.
