Court deems French Jew's murderer unfit to stand trial
A French court ruled Tuesday that Amastaibou Adel, who stabbed and killed his Jewish neighbor Sebastien Selam in 2003, could not be held criminally responsible for his acts as he suffers from schizophrenia.
In his interrogation, Adel said he was "bewitched" and "content with the death of that fucking Jews". But an appeals court accepted his family's petition and deemed him emotionally unstable. (AFP)
